“Learn with the intention that you’re going to teach it to others.”

Do you know what the lifeline of your business is? Here’s a hint: it has nothing to do with your clients or product. Behind every successful network marketing company is a team. Without the contributions from each member, your business wouldn’t exist. As a result, retention has become an important issue in network marketing.

Creating a training program for your team teaches, inspires, and empowers them to succeed. The process of developing a training program might sound intimidating. Here are three factors to consider to help you simplify the process: 

  1. Your Journey. Take time to reflect on your journey in network marketing. How has it been? What has helped you get to where you are today? Jot down all the successful and unsuccessful strategies that you learned along the way.
  2. Research. Take a look at current and successful trends. Use Google and YouTube to research what other network marketing companies are doing as well as traditional businesses. You can find, teach, and apply innovative techniques in your training for the benefit of your entire team. 
  3. Overcoming Fear. Joining a network marketing team can be scary. As a team leader, it’s your responsibility to help your team members overcome their fears. Use tactics in your training that guarantee small wins fast. Celebrate small wins to build confidence.

You can increase the retention of recruits by creating and implementing your own training program. This strategy requires time and energy, but it’s worth it in the long run. It leverages the lessons you’ve learned as well as the strengths you’ve developed. You can pass important lessons on to others so that they can move closer to their vision of success while you all continue to profit and grow as a team.
